Below you’ll find important information about billing, insurance, referrals, and privacy practices — all designed to help you understand what to expect as a patient at Koenigsknecht Dentistry. 

Referral Relationships

Trusted Specialists When You Need Them

While we perform a wide range of services, some patients benefit from the care of a focused specialist. When that’s the case, we refer to trusted providers throughout the state.

We commonly refer for:

  • Orthodontics
  • Endodontics(complex root canals)
  • Periodontics
  • Pediatric Dentistry

Our goal is always the same:
 Get you the right care, from the right clinician, at the right time.

Dental Benefits & Coverage

We will submit claims to all dental insurances except adult Medicaid.

We are in-network/contracted with:

  • BCBS of Michigan Medicare Advantage
  • Healthy Kids – Delta Dental of MI
  • Delta Legion (Delta of California)
Blue Cross Blue Shield (Traditional)

We are not a PPO/Dentemax office, but BCBS of Michigan patients receive discounted rates under Blue Par Select.
 Benefits process as out-of-network, but with a discount applied.

  • Frequency limits (cleanings, exams, x-rays)

Billing & Insurance

Clear, Honest Guidance for Your Dental Benefits

Navigating dental benefits can be confusing. Our front office team is here to help you understand your plan, estimate costs, and avoid surprises. We explain everything up front so you can make confident decisions about your care.

We appreciate payment on the day of your service.
 We accept major credit cards, cash, and checks.

Payment Options

Pre-Payment Courtesy Plan

For patients without dental insurance whose treatment exceeds $500, we offer a 5% courtesy adjustment when payment is made in full by cash or check before treatment begins.

Payment Plans

Available to established patients (with us for at least 12 months) who follow recommended preventive care.
 Structure includes:

  • 30% upfront payment
  • Monthly payments agreed upon together
  • 5% finance charge after 60 days
  • Finance charge is waivedif you pay at least 20% of remaining balance each month
CareCredit

We accept CareCredit for patients who prefer to spread payments over time.
