Our Approach to Everyday Dentistry
Routine dental care is the foundation of lifelong oral health. At Koenigsknecht Dentistry, we focus on prevention, comfort, education, and long-term stability. Our goal is to help you maintain a healthy mouth, avoid unnecessary treatment, and understand exactly what’s happening at every visit.
Preventive Dentistry
The best dentistry is preventive dentistry. Regular checkups and cleanings help protect your smile and catch small issues before they become bigger, more complicated problems.
During your preventive visit, we evaluate:
- gum health
- bone levels
- signs of inflammation
- tooth wear or chipping
- clenching and grinding patterns
- airway indicators
- bite alignment
- oral cancer screening
- plaque and tartar buildup
We also provide personalized education on home care, nutrition, sleep habits, and anything that affects your oral health.
Full-Service Restorative and Replacement Options
If you have missing or lost teeth, we offer several options to restore your smile, comfort, and function. Depending on your needs, treatment may include dental implants, bridges, partial dentures, or traditional dentures.
Fillings (Composite Tooth-Colored Restorations)
A filling restores a tooth that has been damaged by decay, wear, or small fractures. We use composite (tooth-colored) materials because they blend naturally and bond well to tooth structure.
Patients appreciate that appointments are comfortable and efficient. We take the time to ensure you are fully numb before we begin, and we offer nitrous oxide when needed.
Fillings can also be used aesthetically (bonding) to repair chips or reshape teeth for a more natural appearance.
Our philosophy is always:
Treat what needs to be treated, and monitor what can be safely watched.
Crowns
Crowns protect and strengthen teeth that have large fractures, deep decay, or previous large fillings. They also restore teeth after root canals or significant wear.
We offer multiple high-quality materials and consistently review research and clinical literature regarding changes to material and technology to ensure our patients have the best options.
