Our Approach to Dental Care | Koenigsknecht Dentistry

About Koenigsknecht Dentistry

Who We Are

Koenigsknecht Dentistry has proudly served St. Johns and the surrounding communities for decades. What began as a family-rooted practice has grown into a modern dental experience focused on comfort, clarity, and long-term oral health.

Our goal is simple:

To treat every patient like family, and to provide dentistry that supports a healthier, more confident life.

We combine warm, personal care with advanced training and technology so you always feel heard, informed, and supported.

Our Approach to Care

Your oral health is about much more than individual teeth.
It’s about how your bite, jaw, airway, muscles, and smile work together every day.

That’s why we take a comprehensive approach, evaluating:

how your teeth fit together
signs of airway or sleep concerns
clenching or grinding habits
gum and bone health
enamel wear
overall function and comfort

This whole-picture view allows us to catch issues early, explain them clearly, and create care plans that last — not quick fixes.

Advanced Education Matters

All 3 of our dentists have completed a KOIS training with Dr Nick and Dr Jon completing a four-year curriculum at the KOIS Center, an internationally respected program in advanced restorative and functional dentistry.

Patients benefit from dentistry that is more precise, more predictable, and more comfortable

This education helps us:

Diagnose more accurately
Plan treatment more predictably
Understand how bite, airway, muscles, and joint health affect each other
Provide long-term, stable outcomes
Reduce the need for future emergency or corrective work

What This Means for You

When you become a patient here, you can expect:

Clear explanations of what we see and why it matters
Options, not pressure
A team who remembers you and understands your long-term goals
A focus on keeping you comfortable throughout every visit
Preventive care that supports whole-body health
Results that feel good, look natural, and function well

We’re here to help you keep your teeth for life — and enjoy using them.

Our Philosophy

We believe dentistry should be:

Comfortable. Long-lasting. Personalized. Honest.

We never recommend care you don’t need.

We always explain your options.

And we treat you the way we would treat our own families.

Patients stay with us for generations because they trust our approach, our transparency, and our commitment to doing what’s right.

I felt bad for making everyone stay longer however, I greatly appreciate you all staying knowing a storm was coming. Thank you all including the Doctoir., Front staff , and hygienist. Thanks again
